Carcraft, one of the UK's largest car supermarkets, asked us to redesign and develop their existing website based on their idea of a three way search.
Their brief to us was to "do something like Google", so we immediately went about designing a clean looking minimalist interface with plenty of whitespace.
Carcraft's plan was to develop a website where they could test the effectiveness of its simplicity compared to their existing one.
The design proved to be very effective and Carcraft decided to redevelop the new website in-house using their own development team.

We used some clever jQuery ajax to help with populating the search forms on the homepage and also some subtle page loading effects.
The website operated via a database which was updated by an XML feed every 15 minutes.
We developed the website using the popular CodeIgniter framework which allowed us to produce search engine friendly urls as well as clean code.
